Hair facts & myths

FACTS:
1. Blondes have the greatest numbr is scalp follicles followed bt brunette. Redheads have the fewest number of scalp follicles

2. 50% of all men experience hair loss sometime in their
ives.

3. The average growth rate of hair is about one-fourth to one and a half inches per month.

4. Hair is the fastest growing tissue in the
body, second only to bone marrow.

5.It is normal to lose 100 hairs per
day from the scalp.

6.Thyroid imbalance and iron deficiency are
reversible causes for hair loss.

7.Forty percent of women by the time they reach menopause will have female pattern (hereditary) hair loss.

MYTHS:

1. Split ends can be repaired, NOT
Once you have a split you need them cut

2. Tight cats cause baldness, NOT
Baldness is inherited from either parent

3.Baldness is inherited from your mother sides, NOT
Baldness is inherited from either parent,
and it may skip a/many generations

4. Dandruff is caused by dry scalp, NOT
A good shampoo and conditioner will take care of the dry scalp, which is 'flaking'.
Dandruff is a serious health issue and requires medical attention and prescribed medication. The 'flakes' are actually oily, not dry. Very few people have actual dandruff and you would know it if you did.
